Asamoah Gyan Backs John Paintsil to Succeed at Black Stars
Asamoah Gyan, Former Captain of Black Stars

Having previously served as the captain of Ghana, Asamoah Gyan has voiced his unwavering support for John Paintsil's recent appointment to the position of assistant coach for the Black Stars.

Otto Addo will be returning to his position as head coach, and Joseph Laumann, John Paintsil, and Fatau Dauda will serve as his assistants, according to the Ghana Football Association's announcement of a new coaching squad.

Mixed responses were received from members of the Ghanaian public in response to this announcement.

While some people were pleased with the choice, others were sceptical of Paintsil's ability to perform the duties of the position.

When Gyan addressed the issues during an appearance on Asempa FM, he fully supported Paintsil's selection and emphasized that his former teammate's new role was well-deserved. Paintsil was appointed to another position.

When it comes to the national team, John Paintsil made a lot of sacrifices, but it seems that people forget about them. Following his retirement, he joined a coaching staff in South Africa, where he worked as an assistant coach and gained valuable experience.

The only thing he has done after retiring is coach, if you take a look at his life after he retired. Therefore, if I take a look at his past works and the things he has accomplished, I have no choice but to endorse his appointment to the position of assistant. In addition, Gyan stated.
