“Be Patriotic” Gifty Oware Goes Hard on Black Queens Players.

Gifty Oware, chair of the management committee for the Black Queens, has voiced strong sentiments ahead of the Ghanaian team's match against Zambia.

The Black Queens are currently owed bonuses for their African Women's Cup of Nations qualification, raising tensions as they prepare to face the Zambian side in a crucial match determining qualification for the Olympics Games in France.

Oware, who also serves as the Bankroller of Berry Ladies Football Club in the Ghana Women's Premier League and is a member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Committee, emphasized the importance of patriotism in donning the national jersey, stating,

"They say half a loaf is better than none, and the beauty of it is that the first reason anyone should have to wear the national jersey is because of patriotism." She had previously assured the players that their bonuses would be settled before their upcoming match on Friday, a promise that has yet to be fulfilled, leading to dissatisfaction among the Black Queens.
