Ian Wright Supports Referee's Decision in Arsenal vs. Bayern Munich Clash

Source: Daily Post

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has voiced his support for referee Glenn Nyberg's decision not to award Bukayo Saka a last-gasp penalty against Bayern Munich, despite the winger's collision with goalkeeper Manuel Neuer late into injury time.

Saka's frustration was evident as Nyberg waved off his appeals, opting to allow play to continue. Despite facing backlash from home fans, Nyberg stood by his decision, unconvinced that Neuer had committed a foul against the Arsenal winger.

However, amid the controversy, not all voices associated with the North London club believed the incident warranted a penalty. Wright, in particular, backed Nyberg's call and encouraged the team to shift their focus to the upcoming second leg.

Taking to Twitter, Wright expressed his stance: "Not a pen for me. Work to do in Munich."

With the spotlight now on the second leg set to take place at the Allianz Arena next Wednesday, the Arsenal faithful await eagerly to see if their team can overcome the odds and secure a favorable result against Bayern Munich.
