Nollywood Icon John Okafor, "Mr Ibu," to be Laid to Rest in June



The family of the late Nollywood actor, John Okafor, popularly known as "Mr Ibu," has announced his burial arrangements. Mr Ibu, who recently underwent leg amputation due to an undisclosed illness, will be honored with a five-day ceremony in his hometown of Amuri, Enugu State.

On June 27th, a Christian Wake will be held at Mr Ibu's compound in Eziokwe Amuri, Nkanu West, leading up to the funeral service on June 28th. The five-day event will conclude on Sunday, June 30th, with a Church Thanksgiving, inviting family members, friends, and well-wishers to commemorate the life of John Okafor.
