Yeboah Danita Akosua Adomaah, better known by her stage name Afronita, has departed from the renowned DWP Academy collective, where she had been a member for nearly six years.
According to a formal press release, the academy has declared Afronita to be a separate brand from the collective. The dancer had previously teased her admirers on social media with a new chapter in her life, and now this has happened.
As stated in the official press release, Afronita enrolled in the academy in 2018, when she was fourteen years old. Her departure aligns with DWP's objective of developing brands from each of the talented youths who become members of the family.
Some fans' previous posts suggest that Afronita's departure may be attributed to the recent arrival of a new lady who joined the collective and is believed to be its new face.
Last year, during the collective's online feud with MOG Beats, DWP Academy CEO Quabbles openly criticized Afronita. Afronita, who has amassed one million Instagram followers in the past year, will join the enigmatic Dancegod Loyd as the second star to depart from the collective.
DWP Academy did not reveal why Afronita was let go, but they did send their best wishes in a press release, writing, "This is not the first and will not be the last."
